Some Places of Interest in Corfu

Rather a tiny place on the narrow but long stretched sand / pebbly beach of Roda with good tourist infrastructure. Few small hotels or apartments are mainly offered on the British market. The overall image of the place is very strongly designed for British tourists. (British pubs, football pits, and English breakfast).

In Roda, there are good water sports, which are limited to the rental of pedalos. By motorboats, you can drive to Sidari in the west direction of Kassiopi in the east direction. Roda is also the starting point for the bus to Kerkyra by bus (in the morning and back), which is also more recommendable than booking a trip to Kerkyra or visiting the city yourself with the rental car). Furthermore, Roda is the leading traffic point north of it, where the main roads are towards Kerkyra or Sidari.

Acharavi:

Acharavi is a quite lovely, tourist very well developed place on the narrow, long-drawn sand gravel beach in the bay of Acharavi. The place itself is characterized by many typical tourist shops, souvenir shops, bars, restaurants, and even a discotheque.

The center of Acharavis is the gyro, which is less reminiscent of the gyros known to us but is an excellent reference point within the long-drawn-out place. Going southwards at the roundabout, you reach the remote mountain villages of Corfu, the Pantokrator, and the mountain village of Spirilia via an exciting route in the direction of Kerkyra (alternative to the west or east bypass of the Pantokrator). A continuous beach promenade exists only to a limited extent, but otherwise, a beach migration, e.g., To Roda easily possible.

Kassiopi:

Well-developed tourist town but still quiet and original at the north-east corner of the island with a long gravel bay with crystal clear water and some bathing plateaus. Worth a visit.

Agios Stefanos:

There is everything that makes the tourist life pleasant, Taverns, boat rental, supermarkets, but much less traffic and people than in the places mentioned above. Also, a lovely bay and the best view of the Albanian mainland, which seems to be close at hand. (There are three places named Agos Stefanos in Corfu, one on the north coast in the west, one on the north coast, and this on the northeast coast).

Kouloura:

It is a small village on the east coast of it. You can reach it by a hidden road from the coastal road. There is a picturesque harbor, which can also be seen from a viewpoint from the coast road. Corfu Town, the capital, is the only city on the island. The old town, the harbor, the two fortresses, and much more can be seen here.

Kanoni

Kanoni is the place on the Ponitikonissi. Here, one views the landmark Corfu and can make spectacular shots of landing aircraft. Benitses is a former fishing village situated at the foot of the Achilleion. Here there is a small port and things that have spent the time of Emperor William II, who spent a lot of time in the Achilleon, about the footbridge and the old harbor wall.

Kavos:

Kavos is a seaside resort on the southeast coast of Corfu; it is the southernmost seaside resort on the island. It is not far from Lefkimmi. There is a port and a ferry connection to the Greek mainland. The port is not located directly in Kavos but a few kilometers north of the village. It offers a small dune landscape inviting you to linger. Behind the dunes extends the Lake Korission, a freshwater lake in which fish farming is operated. Glyfada is a Small beautiful bay with a beautiful, long sandy beach.

In the town itself, there are two well-sorted supermarkets, several good tavernas, one beach disco club, a water sports center, a few friendly hotels, and a 5-star apartment complex in a quiet location.
