Entry formalities on Easter Island

From Santiago, we do not ask for your passport, as it is a domestic flight. If you arrive in Tahiti, you must present your passport. For the Belgians, French and Swiss, the visa is not required to Easter Island (but it is for Chile). 

The Chilean government established a special tour fee for U.S. citizens, Australians, New Zealanders and Canadians who stay in the country. For Canadians, it rises to $ 55 and applies only once for the period of validity of the passport. EU citizens are exempted.

- Population: only 3800 inhabitants, almost half of the continent are Chileans, who come to enjoy the benefits of dynamic tourism economy.
